Machine Learning Engineer — NLP

Cohere is looking for an ML Engineer to work on our natural language processing models. You will contribute to training, evaluating, and improving Cohere's embedding, reranking, and command models used by enterprise customers in production.

Responsibilities

• Train and fine-tune NLP models for classification, extraction, and generation
• Design and run evaluation benchmarks across multiple languages
• Improve embedding model quality for multilingual semantic search
• Collaborate with research team on new model architectures
• Work with enterprise customers to validate models on their data

Requirements

• Strong Python and PyTorch skills
• Experience training and evaluating transformer-based NLP models
• Familiarity with multilingual NLP and cross-lingual transfer
• Experience with production ML pipelines at scale
