Senior ML Engineer — Recommendation Systems

Netflix is seeking a Senior ML Engineer to advance our AI-powered recommendation and personalisation systems. You will work on models that serve 270 million members, experimenting with LLM-enhanced recommendation approaches and next-generation content understanding.

Responsibilities

• Design and train large-scale recommendation models
• Explore LLM-based content understanding for improved recommendations
• Run A/B experiments and analyse impact on member engagement
• Mentor junior ML engineers and define technical standards

Requirements

• 5+ years ML engineering experience with production models at scale
• Strong Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch skills
• Experience with recommendation systems, ranking, or retrieval
• Demonstrated ability to ship ML models that improve key metrics
